After stumbling upon a post from blog.beliefnet.com I found instructions to enter a coupon code at volumMonster.com which allows artists to upload their music and promote codes to enter in and get free downloads!
It's a pretty cool concept. You have to sign up, but it only requires e-mail address and zip code, but still another great way to get free mp3 downloads for your ipod or mp3 player.
